Moms and Dads take care of their children by protecting them and keeping them safe. God protects his children, too.
God protected Lot from danger. God decided to destroy the city of Sodom. The people who lived there did not love God and they did bad things. God was unhappy with them.
Lot and his family lived in Sodom and God wanted Lot to be safe. So before God destroyed the city, he sent angels to take Lot and his family out of Sodom. The city was destroyed, but Lot and his family were safe.

Thank you for keeping me safe. Thank you for the grown-ups you gave me who keep me safe too.
