Jesus Died

 
 

 
When Jesus had taken the vinegar, he said, "It is finished!" Then, he bowed his head and died.
 


JOHN 19:30


Jesus is the Son of God. When it was time for him to leave earth and go back to heaven, he could have ridden in a chariot of fire. He could have called thousands of angels to come and carry him to heaven. He could have left earth in many different ways.
But he did not choose any of those ways. Jesus left earth by dying, like we do when our earthly lives are over. Jesus died when he was nailed to a cross. Since he died, he understands how we may feel when death is near.

Why did Jesus die like a human does?

Dear God,
Death is scary because it means leaving everyone I know. The good thing is that when I leave earth, I will come to heaven to be with you.
