- Mary and Joseph were in a small stable when Jesus was born Mary wrapped her new baby in strips of cloth. There was no bed to lay him in. Just a manger, a place where the animal's food was kept. But, Jesus was born like all other people on earth.
- Maybe Mary wished she could lay her new baby in a soft bed. But she knew that God's plan was best.

Dear God,- It must have been hard for you to send Jesus to be born as a baby. Thank you that he was. Since he was a person like me, he understands how I feel.

Were you born in a
nice clean hospital with doctors to take care of you? God could have sent
Jesus to earth in a flaming chariot pulled by angels, but he didn't. Jesus
was born like all other people on earth. But he wasn't born in a nice
hospital. There were no doctors to help his mother, or care for him.
