God Made the World

In the beginning, God created heaven and earth.

GENESIS 1:1

Do you like to play outside? What do you play? Do you build towns in a sandbox or ride a scooter? Do you like to look at fluffy clouds floating by?

Long ago there was no earth, no grass, not even any sunshine. Everything was dark and empty. But then God decided to make the world. He just said the words and there was the earth and sky. There was the sun and moon and stars. There was dry land and oceans. God made them all, just by saying the words.
The next time you play outside, remember to say, 'Thank You" to God for giving us our world.

What is your favorite part of God's world?
Can you go out and look at the stars right now?

Dear God,
Your world is so big and full of things. I like the bright sunshine. It makes me feel warm and happy. I like the moon and twinkling stars. Thank You for making the world. Thank you for making me and my family. Bless us. Amen.
Love, Tia Célia
