- Jesus was arrested after Judas kissed him on the cheek. He was taken to Pilate, the governor. Pilate told the people that he could free one prisoner for the Passover celebration. He thought the people would want Jesus freed. But the crowd shouted, "Crucify him!" So he gave Jesus to the soldiers to be beaten and nailed to a cross.
- Even while Jesus was on the cross he was thinking about others. He asked God to forgive the people who were hurting him.
- Jesus died on the cross for us. If we believe in him we can live in heaven with him someday.
How do you feel about the crowd wanting Jesus to die?- In what side would you be if you were there?
- Do you know that you are going to heaven someday?
Dear God,- I know it was part of your plan to have this all happen to Jesus. Thank you for making a plan that makes it possible for me to come to heaven.
